Emily Kline, BSW-intern

I am a senior at the University of Vermont, currently working toward my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, with a minor in Psychological Science. I grew up in New Haven County, CT. I am excited to expand my community and connect with people as I intern at the VCTC, working as a care coordinator.
Aside from my work as a BSW student, I spend my time as a Mindfulness Facilitator for Living Well at UVM. I lead a few meditations per week, including Meditation and Connection, BIPOC Yoga and Meditation affinity space, and Queer and Trans Meditation affinity space. Mindfulness is a large part of my life, and I would like to incorporate this into my social work practice as well.
I come from a big family, with seven brothers and seven sisters, including eleven adopted siblings. This is where my passion for community care comes from – I love hearing people’s different perspectives and tuning into group dynamics while finding ways to work together when life gets tricky.
