Tammie retired from college administration to focus on her practice, and you will still find her teaching a college course from time to time. Tammie’s main specialization is providing individual and group services to mental health professionals: CEU’s, Licensure Supervision, Consultation, Private Practice Coaching, Seminars, Retreats, Internships and Personal Counseling. She also provides counseling services for the general population, specializing in working with other helping professionals, such as executives, leaders, emergency services workers, medical and wellness providers, those in criminal justice and the military, clergy, education staff at Pre-K-College, politicians and more.

Services for Mental Health Providers: Clinical Supervision (individual and group), Consultations, Trainings and Seminars. Licensure hours and CEU’s available for LCMHC, LICSW and LMFT. Supervision and training for supervisors is also available.Supervisor training is not required in Vermont, however, I believe (and research supports) it is imperative for supervisors to have initial and on-going training and supervision. There is always something new to learn. I engage in career-long learning as a supervisor and as a clinician.Whether you are an intern, working toward licensure or earning CEU’s, one can feel vulnerable in supervision. It can feel threatening in a variety of ways. Remember that none of us know everything. Your best learning and skill development will take place when you are open to continued growth with a knowledgeable supervisor you can trust.

I most often start with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It is important to immediately work on adopting more positive thoughts and behaviors as a problem-solving tool for day-to-day living. From there, we may incorporate Solution-Focused Therapy and/or Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). For those wishing to investigate deeper triggers from the past, we continue on using Adlerian Psychology, a strengths-based, psychodynamic approach. To release trauma, we may use Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT).

Clients often describe me as a therapist who is friendly and easy to talk to, with a great sense of humor. Clients frequently state that my office is welcoming, comfortable, and that it does not feel like a sterile clinic. It is an honor to join people on their journeys.
