    Kelsey is a Vermont native who spent 8 years living in North Carolina before returning to her home state in 2015. Kelsey began her post-secondary education at Northern Vermont University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. This experience sparked her passion for mental health and influenced her career in human services. Kelsey’s intention is to meet you where you are. Her approach while working with clients is perfectly described by Arthur Ashe: “Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.” Starting where you are may feel like a challenging step to take. This is where your work together begins! Kelsey’s goal is to offer a safe space, provide unconditional support, and foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.
     
    Kelsey’s experience includes providing community based case management and mental health services to high school students and adults. As a Mental Health Technician, Kelsey provided support and crisis services on inpatient psychiatry and in Emergency Department settings. Most recently, Kelsey worked as a Substance Use Counselor supporting patients through medication assisted treatment. Kelsey believes in the value of holistic wellness and is a former instructor of a comprehensive, evidence-based wellness program designed to enrich lives through nutrition, lifestyle change, stress management, and exercise.
     
    Kelsey has experience working with diverse populations that include individuals from various social classes, ethnic groups, ages, genders, and sexual preferences, among other demographics. Her approach to therapy is person-centered with sensitivity to individuality and appreciation for what makes you unique! Kelsey has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of the Cumberlands. Working together could bring exciting changes to your life. Kelsey would love to hear from you!
