• Lily Hoffman, MSW

Lily Hoffman has a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Vermont. Her interest in psychotherapy stems from a combination of personal and professional experiences leaving her with a profound respect for human complexity and resilience. Prior joining the VCTC team, Lily interned with the Howard Center’s Access and Intake Department providing case management and therapeutic support to a variety of clients in Chittenden County.

Before moving to Vermont with her partner in 2021, Lily spent 10 years living in New York City working as a medical and creative writer. During that time she was privileged to work alongside patients and caregivers across a range of physical and mental illnesses. This work inspired her own journey into the field of human services.

Lily’s approach to therapy is psychodynamic, person-centered, and non-judgmental. She strives to build trusting and meaningful relationships with each of her clients through a strengths-based and trauma-informed lens. Whether this is your first time working with a therapist or simply your first time working with Lily, she will meet you with patience, compassion, and your best interests at the center. Her clinical interests include working with adolescents & transition age youth, couples, individuals navigating life transitions, and trauma recovery.
