• Benni Bennion, MSW-intern

Welcome! My intention for my practice is to be welcoming, affirming, and supportive for people of diverse age, gender identity, ethnicity, sexuality, and cultural backgrounds.

I believe that the care and evolving relationship between a therapist and the person they serve is an essential part of therapeutic work. I strive to be a person-centered, intersectional, trauma-informed, and social justice informed practitioner. I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, stress, life transitions, identity questions, and trauma.

As a transgender person, I welcome working with LGBTQIA2S+ folk and care deeply about practicing affirming care. I have an integrative, holistic, and humanistic approach. I like to include mindfulness practice and humor in my work. My practice is DBT, ACT, and narrative therapy informed.

I am currently continuing my Master of Social Work at the University of Vermont. I have experience working in inpatient mental health settings, as well as working as a counselor in community mental health and substance use services, and community justice center services.
